Cantoría en Wrocław | Xochicuicatl – pieśni z Hiszpanii, Meksyku i Gwatemali. Festival Akademia Latynoamerykańska

¿Qué cantaban los recién llegados en los tiempos de la conquista en América del Sur? ¿Qué canciones sonaban en las cortes de los virreyes y qué se escuchaba durante el trabajo de los sirvientes? ¿Cómo se han fusionado las melodías y los ritmos traídos de la Península Ibérica con las tradiciones locales del Nuevo Mundo? Lo descubriremos durante el fenomenal concierto de la joven agrupación cantoría.

El cuarteto vocal formado en Cataluña ofrecerá un repertorio con canciones de la llamada edad de oro española, es decir, del siglo XVII, el apogeo del arte tanto en España como en las zonas de América Latina controladas por españoles. Como corresponde a una banda de música antigua, los miembros de Cantoría tratan de aplicar las viejas prácticas de interpretación de la mejor manera posible; Se centran en los secretos de las técnicas vocales populares en España del renacimiento. Durante los conciertos, el grupo destaca el carácter teatral de la música española del Renacimiento, exponiendo su valor comunicativo.

Aunque los propios cantantes son muy jóvenes y el recorrido de la agrupación es de solo dos años, ya se han dado a conocer como músicos prometedores y fueron invitados a participar en el programa International Young Artist’s Presentation en Bélgica, de la Cité de la Voix. en Francia y se convirtieron en parte del programa Emerging European Ensembles – Eeemerging 2018. Como parte de este proyecto de apoyo a los equipos al inicio de sus carreras, Cantoría actuará, pero también aprenderá, en Wroclaw durante la Academia Latinoamericana.

What did the newcomers sing in the times of the conquest in South America? What songs resounded in the courts of the governors, and what was humming at the work of the servants? How did melodies and rhythms brought from the iberian peninsula merged with local traditions in the New World? We will find it out during the phenomenal concert of the young ensemble Cantoría.

The vocal quartet from Catalonia offers songs from the so-called the Spanish golden age, that is from the 17th century, the heyday of art both in Spain itself and in Spanish-controlled areas of Latin America. As befits of an early music ensemble, the members of Cantoría try to get to know and practice the old performance practices in the best possible way; above all, they focus on the secrets of vocal techniques popular in Spain in the time of rebirth. During the concerts, the group with youthful freshness emphasizes the theatrical character of the Renaissance Spanish music, exposing its communication value.

Although the singers themselves are very young, and their internship in the band is only two years, they have already become known as promising musicians and have been invited to participate in the program International Young Artist’s Presentation in Belgium, in the residence in the Cité de la Voix in France and they became part of the Emerging European Ensembles – Eeemerging 2018 program. As a part of this project is supporting the ensembles at the start of their careers, Cantoría will perform – but also will learn – in Wroclaw during the Latin American Academy.

Kwartet wokalny z Katalonii proponuje nam pieśni z tzw. hiszpańskiego złotego wieku, czyli z wieku XVII, czasu rozkwitu sztuki zarówno w samej Hiszpanii, jak i na kontrolowanych przez Hiszpanię terenach Ameryki Łacińskiej. Jak przystało na zespół muzyki dawnej członkowie Cantoríi próbują jak najlepiej poznać i przyswoić dawne praktyki wykonawcze; przede wszystkim skupiają się na tajnikach technik wokalnych popularnych w Hiszpanii w czasach odrodzenia. W trakcie koncertów grupa z młodzieńczą świeżością podkreśla teatralny charakter renesansowej muzyki hiszpańskiej, eksponuje jej walor komunikacyjny.

Choć sami śpiewacy są bardzo młodzi, a ich staż w zespole to zaledwie dwa lata, dali się już poznać jako świetnie zapowiadający się muzycy i zostali zaproszeni do udziału w programie International Young Artist’s Presentation w Belgii, objęli rezydencję w Cité de la Voix we Francji oraz stali się częścią programu Emerging European Ensembles – Eeemerging 2018.
