Sinopsis

In this concert we will travel to England in the 16th and 17th centuries through the rich musical culture that flourished under the reigns of Elizabeth I (1533-1603), James I (1566-1625) and Charles II (1600-1649).

Un programa colorido, alegre, virtuoso y versátil en su dulce expresión del repertorio inglés, que demuestra que ya en el siglo XVII los británicos tenían un buen sentido del humor.

Desde encantadoras canciones populares hasta elegantes piezas de danza y cautivantes composiciones de corte, este programa presenta la diversidad musical del período con obras de reconocidos compositores como John Dowland, Henry Purcell y Matthew Locke.

Las bellas melodías vocales se entrelazan con la virtuosidad instrumental en este ‘broken consort’ de canto, flautas, gamba y laúd, creando una experiencia musical que deleitará los sentidos y transportará al público a la rica tradición musical de la época.
