He started his musical studies at the Conservatorio de Música de Ourense, where he was awarded his Degree in Guitar. Then, he began to study voice with the Stuttgart Hochschule für Musik professor, Manuela Soto. Later, he was accepted to the high conservatoires of Vigo and A Coruña studying with the tenor José Antonio Campo and with the baritone Antón de Santiago.
He has performed operas and zarzuelas such as Giovanni B. Pergolesi’s La serva padrona(Uberto), Henry Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas (Aeneas), Wolfgang A. Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro (Figaro) and Così fan tutte (Guglielmo), Gaetano Donizetti’s Rita (Gasparo) and Lucrezia Borgia (Gazella), Giuseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto (Ceprano), Francisco A. Barbieri’s El barberillo de Lavapiés (Lamparilla), Giacomo Puccini’s Madama Butterfly (Yamadori), Manuel de Falla’s El retablo de Maese Pedro (Don Quijote), Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari’s Il segreto di Susanna (Gil), Giancarlo Menotti’s The Telephone (Ben) or Tom Johnson’s The four-note opera (Baritone). He has sung other works such as Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s Te Deum, Wolfgang A. Mozart’s and Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem, Nicolás Ledesma’s Stabat Mater, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana or the show created by José Antonio Campo and produced by the Orquestra Vigo 430 Bach, a alegría móvese.
He also participates in art song, which he has performed with pianists such as Cándido Cabaleiro, Severino Ortiz, Haruna Takebe or Elena Pérez Salas.
He has attended masterclasses with professionals such as Isabel Penagos, Alberto Zedda, Thomas Hampson, Thomas Pfeiffer, Roberto Scandiuzzi, Ana Luisa Chova, Elena Kaupova, Martin Wölfel or Yolanda Montoussé and accompanists like Wolfram Rieger, Ludmila Orlova, Viviana Ciavorella or Markus Fohr.
He has worked with conductors such as Miguel Á. Gómez Martínez, Miquel Ortega, Marcello Panni, Diego García Rodríguez, Alejandro Garrido, Joam Trilho, Casiano Mouriño, Manuel Martínez Torres, Juan Lois Diéguez or Manuel Villar with groups such as Real Filharmonía de Galicia, Orquestra Sinfónica de Galicia, Orquestra Vigo 430, Orquestra Sinfonietta de Vigo, Orquesta Clásica de Vigo, Banda de Música Municipal de Santiago de Compostela, Banda Municipal da Coruña, Banda de Música de Valga and Taller Atlántico Contemporáneo.
He’s a founder of Herbens Consort, an ensemble that specializes in the baroque repertoire, with original instrumens, which is conducted by Carlos García Amigo.
He received a degree in Journalism from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, BH Honours in Communication at the University of Glamorgan and a Masters in Performing Arts at the Universidade de Vigo.
