Diego Jiménez Tamame (Zamora, Spain, 1990) is a spanish composer, violist and journalist. He finished his Viola studies in the Professional Conservatory of Music “Tahonas Viejas” of Salamanca, with Prof. Juan Mesana Graffe in 2011. He also attended to Harmony, Counterpoint and Composition lessons for four years with teacher Enrique Blanco Rodríguez at the same conservatory. In 2011, he started his First Degree in Composition at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Aragón (CSMA), in Zaragoza, Spain, with Jesús Rueda and Eneko Vadillo as main Composition teachers, and also with teachers like Agustí Charles Soler (Composition techniques and Orchestration), José María Sánchez Verdú (Composition techniques and Analysis), José Manuel López López (Composition masterclasses and Electronic Composition), Nacho de Paz(Conducting) or Josep Sanz i Quintana (Analysis, Composition techniques, Musical Technology and Electronic Composition).He has also attended to seminars and masterclasses with composers like Salvatore Sciarrino,Philippe Hurel, Fabián Panisello, Luis de Pablo, Antón García Abril, Alberto Posadas, Sofía Gubaidulina, Ramón Lazkano, Alberto Bernal or Raphaël Cendo. He has premiered several pieces in cooperation with groups like Meitar Ensemble (Tel Aviv), PluralEnsemble or the Academy for the New Music of the Superior Conservatory of Music of Aragón. As a violist, he was part of Youth Symphony Orchestra of Castilla y León from 2011 to 2013, and part of Youth Symphony Orchestra “City of Salamanca” from 2006 to 2009, with spanish conductor Ignacio García Vidal. He also studied a Degree in Journalism at Universidad Pontificia, in Salamanca, from 2008 to 2012. Nowadays, he is studying his First Degree in Composition at Superior Conservatory of Music of Aragón (CSMA).
